70s patterned flares - New for 2021

Introducing our new 70s patterned flares for summer 2021

Our new 70s patterned flares took centre stage when we released our hotly anticipated psychedelic Dreamer print last week.

The 70s inspired Dreamer print comes in our brand new high waisted velvet flares, a velvet backless catsuit, a crop racer back vest and wrap top... all made from a buttery soft stretch velvet.

Designed in house by Robyn and the team, ironically the Dreamer print was a total nightmare to create as a repeat and took several attempts to perfect.

We had also started designing some flower prints, as you can see above, but felt like the Dreamer print with waves and stars was more suited to our 70s patterned flares.

70s patterned 'Dreamer' Flares

We are so ready for these psychedelic beauties. We've done a few flared pieces over the years but nothing like these 70s patterned flares.

As with all our pieces, we generally make the leg length more on the long side (no one wants an ankle swinging flare) but we also have a made to order flare option so you can choose between 4 leg lengths and 9 sizes; to fit you just so.

Whilst the velvet is very stretchy (stretchometer 5), we have altered the pattern to reflect this so we'd still recommend you going for your standard size and if you're in-between, then size down.

Hannah wears a 10-12 with a medium leg length with heels.

To measure your inside seam correctly:

  • Put on the shoes you'd wear with your flares
  • Measure from the top of your inside leg seam to the floor

70s patterned 'Dreamer' Catsuit

We couldn't release a new print and not offer it in our classic catsuit cut.

After so many discussions we decided against releasing this as a flared catsuit for one good reason...

  • If you're at a muddy festival - do you really want to be soaking up the field in your gorgeous flares?

That isn't to say the same wont happen with the high waisted flares but there might be more occasion to wear these than a flared catsuit.

Hannah wears an 8-10 here even though her measurements are 37", waist 28", hips 41" which would put her firmly in the 10-12 bracket normally. There are two reasons for this...

  • The Velvet is very stretchy and soft - allowing you to size down if you want
  • As Hannah is shorter (5'1") and this is a backless number, she wanted the additional support and found that the smaller size offered this.

If you're taller then we wouldn't recommend sizing down as the velvet can ride up more than the Lycra catsuits.

70s patterned 'Dreamer' Crop Vest top & Wrap Top

To complete the flare look we made two styles of tops. The racerback crop vest, which has a plain lilac back made from recycled Lycra and the wrap top.

Both are short enough to work well with the high waist of the velvet flares but the crop vest offers a little more coverage.

Hannah wears a 10-12 in both.

We have big plans for our 70s patterned flares and our new dreamer print so we'd love any feedback you have or if you have any questions - pop them below! 🌙
