Easy cocktail recipes to try with your colour changing Pink Gin

Spring has officially sprung and a well deserved boozy Easter weekend is just round the corner!

So this week were bringing you some delicious Gin cocktail recipes to celebrate and make your weekend extra sweet, I mean whats a better duo than catsuits and cocktails?

We've teamed up with Pink Marmalade Gin who make the most amazing, colour changing, all natural Gin for party people to talk you through a few winning cocktail combinations.

If you're not a drinker, just substitute your gin for a non-alcoholic version such as the Seedlip Grove 42 for a delish mocktail!

When life gives you lemons...make a Gin & Tonic!

Meet the colour changing Gin makers: Pink Marmalade Gin

In true Burnt Soul style, the Gin we'll be using for these cocktail recipe's is colour changing from a cool icy blue through lavender and onto a beautiful pink, just by adding tonic water.

Pink Marmalade Gin is an independent brand that started up in the first lockdown and we are truly obsessed.

They've worked with fellow Burnt Soul lover Sophie Ellis-Bexter to create a beautiful limited edition Gin bottle and pride themselves on their super high quality, amazing taste and small batch just like us really!

Cocktail Gin Recipe #1: The Classic G&T


  • 50ml gin
  • 50ml tonic water
  • a wedge of lime and plenty of ice


If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This classic doesn't need much to make it a favourite: Stuff your best glass with ice and lime and pour over your gin. Top with your favourite tonic water and voila, the perfect G&T.

Cocktail Gin Recipe #2: Gin Fizz


  • 50ml gin
  • 25ml lemon juice
  • 2 tsp sugar syrup
  • ice
  • tonic or soda water
  • lemon slice


Shake up your gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker with ice cubes. Shake well until the outside feels cold before straining the mixture into a big glass with more ice. Top with sparkling water or tonic water and finish with a lemon slice!

Fun Fact! At one point there was a working gin still in one out of every four habitable structures in London!

Cocktail Gin Recipe #3: Pink Negroni



Mix your Pink Marmalade Gin, vermouth and Aperol in a tumbler with some ice for a couple of mins and garnish with the pink grapefruit wedge and basil. For an extra holographic twist, mix with edible glitter and watch the magic unfold!

Rosemary and Grapefruit are the perfect finishers for your Pink Negroni.

Top tip: Pack your glass with ice to keep it as cold as possible and stop your drink watering down!

Cocktail Gin Recipe #4: Rhubarb Surprise


  • 1kg pink rhubarb stalks
  • 400g caster sugar
  • 800ml gin


Prep your rhubarb by washing it and trimming the stalk and any leaves. Cut the stalks into 3cm lengths, tut in a large jar with the sugar. Shake everything around, put the lid on and leave overnight.

The next day, add the gin to the jar and give it a good shake, Leave for about 4 weeks before straining the liquor through a muslin cloth or sieve and transferring to a bottle.

You can also just leave the rhubarb in ladle it straight into drinks from the jar...although it does mean you'll get through it quicker!

Cocktail Gin Recipe #5: Strawberry Gin Smash


  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 3 fresh strawberries, 2 hulled and sliced and 1 reserved for garnish
  • 3 ounces gin
  • Fresh ment sprig to garnish
  • club soda


Using your most extra glass, mix the sugar and lime juice until dissolved. add the strawberries and give it a muddle!

Add ice and your colour changing pink gin, top with soda water and garnish with a couple of sprigs of mint and any fresh strawberries you have left...enjoy!
