The Story of the Jolt Catsuit: Meet Dazzle & Jolt

So you guys may have heard... we have a super exciting print collaboration coming up on 28.03 with the amazing gang at Dazzle & Jolt! Have a read below and hear a little more about our new Jolt Catsuit, and how it came about.

A little about the brand...

Jess (the designer) is based in London, she runs the company and creates all the prints and illustrations for Dazzle & Jolt. Colours and patterns make her super happy, and her style motto is 'more is more'! Her main aim with her clothes is to make pieces that make people smile, items that are expressive and fun. We instantly fell in love with this about Jess!

How did this all come about?

We met Jess, the mastermind behind the brand over Summer 2017 at Secret Garden Party and immediately fell for her crazy colourful brand of prints. Every year we like to do an artist collaboration (in 2016 with Cherie Grist, in 2017 with Rhianna Ellington for our Paradiso Print), and we knew immediately that we wanted Dazzle and Jolt for 2018... especially given that our Summer collection for this year is 70s psychedelia inspired!

Print Inspiration and Development

So the inspirations behind our collaboration were colour and craziness, power women and psychedelic prints from the 70s. Here's an example from our moodboard, think Peter Max, Pucci prints and loads of colour and monochrome!

And here's a couple of pictures of how our print developed from Jess' desk (shared with her cat Jarvis...!) into our catsuit now, complete with holographic sequin panels...

Our Jolt Peekaboo Catsuit is printed on our brand new recycled lycra, as part of our efforts to be as eco as we can be. The fabric is made from fishing lines and unused tulle, amongst other fibres, and reduces the impact of manmade fabrics on the environment. And... it doesn't change the quality of the fabric, in fact we prefer the stretch and the softness, so it's a total win win! We've paired the print with a super colourful pop of holographic blue sequins, for the ultimate colour explosion, and black glitter mist to contour and flatter your figure.

The Jolt Peekaboo Catsuit will be going live on our website at 5pm, 28.03.18 with limited stock! Be quick if you want to snap one of these up, we have a feeling they might be a fave 😉
