UK music festival planner for summer 2021

If all goes to plan... these are the music festivals to look out for this summer

Boris has finally revealed the roadmap for the uk to come out of what is hopefully, its last lockdown so where does this leave us with Music Festivals for summer 2021?

If the vaccine roll-out and infection rates continue to head in the right direction then June the 21st is looking like the date we all need in our calendars.

"Over the spring, the Government will run a scientific Events Research Programme including a series of pilot events, to test events with larger crowd sizes.

If the pilots, which will begin in April, are positive, the Government hopes to lift restrictions on these events as part of step four in June.

That would include large weddings, sports events and conferences as well as music festivals." - Manchester evening news

After the cancellation of Glastonbury earlier this month, hopes were fading for the coming festival season and industry as a whole.

Even though this is a ray of light, it's still wise to hope for the best - prepare for the worst.

Being ever the optimists though, here's our low-down of the UK music festivals to keep your eyes on this summer...

El Dorado Festival 1st-4th July

Back for its 6th year, El Dorado is a boutique camping experience bought to you by the creative minds behind the famous Cirque Du Soul.

Hidden away in the rolling hills of Hereford, El Dorado offers an intimate and enchanting setting for a weekend of dance music; showcasing everything from house and disco through to drum and bass, jungle and dubstep.

Get ready to jump head first into an immersive world of wonderment and enjoy its programme of wellness, art, theatre and all kinds of outlandish games.

Noisily 8th-12th July

Set deep in the rolling hills of Leicestershire at the heart of rural England, Noisily Festival of Electronic Music and Arts lies in one of the most beautiful wooded valleys in the country.

Totally contained amongst the trees, the festival is set in a safe haven where hedonism and escapism can flourish and thrive.

Noisily Festival 2021 will play host to some of the most exciting musical talent from the UK and abroad, along with a plethora of performance, innovative installations and mind bending visual arts.

Brainchild 9th-11th July

A weird and wonderful festival celebrating emerging artists, bold ideas & DIY culture.

Brain Child encourages all kinds of creatives to network and collaborate to create something magical and explore their imagination.

Westival 22nd-26th July

Just 5 miles from the welsh beach in Pembrokeshire, Westival is an intimate festival loved by locals (especially Bristolians!) with a community atmosphere, 3 genre themed stages and a friendly vibe.

Truck 23rd-25th July

“The Godfather of the small festival scene” coming straight out of the idyllic Oxfordshire countryside, treating us all to some of the biggest and best emerging artists since 1998.

Wilderness Festival 5th-8th August

Wilderness is always one of the highlights of our summer and we are SO ready to head back this year with our stall.

Wilderness is utterly magical and has something for everyone.

Delicious banquets, a fantastic array of different music from Brass-aoke (Karaoke sung with a brass band) to main stage mega acts, craft workshops, lake swimming, Champaign tents, intriguing and sometimes hilarious historical letters read by even more astounding guest speakers, enticing stalls from UK crafters and makers and not forgetting the annual cricket match that has the best comparing you will EVER hear.

See you there!

Boardmasters 11th-15th August

Over the years Boardmasters has evolved to combine surf, skate & music for an experience you will never forget. Now set on the cliffs of watergate beach, this festival promises a weekend of high octane fun and adventure.

Shambala - 26th - 29th August

Shambala has long been one of our favourites! A true paradise of joy, sparkle and magic (with some amazing music nestled in). This is truly a festival to lose yourself in - discovering hidden corners of the forest, making friends with everyone you meet and looking like a unicorn threw up on you for 5 days straight...sounds like heaven to us!

Green Man 19th-22nd August

Tumble through ten wild lands of laughs, literature, art, science, mischief and music to the friendliest festival on planet Earth. We love Green Man for their Eco values and incredible location.

Lost Village 26th-29th August

Lost Village is a surreal and intimate 4 day experience, in the heart of an long-forgotten forest. Festival-goers are invited to explore an abandoned world that encompasses dilapidated buildings, old junkyards, hidden gardens and a disused airbase...count us in.

End of the Road 2nd-5th September

Described as “A winning mix of bacchanalia and earthy mysticism” by The Guardian, End of the Road is a magical mix of folk and rock music just waiting to be discovered.

As I write this, End of the Road has just officially sold out but resale will be announced soon via their instagram.

Field Maneuvers 3rd-5th Sept

A real hidden gem of a festival with only 800 people attending, Field Maneuvers is described as a 'no frills rave' focusing on great music, amazing people and the coming together of all sorts of ravers to a secret field - a real 90's free party feel.

Love Saves the Day - 4th and 5th September

Love saves the Day is now a Bristol institution and one of the UK's best inner city festivals.

Running over a Saturday and Sunday, LSTD is a love-fuelled weekend full of music, good times and other-worldly shenanigans.

We'd love to know whats going on from our Burnt Soul's around the globe.
