Big news, Lycra lovers! If you follow us on socials then you may have spotted some recent changes. After over a decade in Bristol, Burnt Soul has packed up its sequins and spandex and moved to the golden shores of Newquay, Cornwall. It’s been a wild ride, but this move marks the start of an exciting new chapter for us. So, why did we swap city life for sea breezes? Let’s dive in!

Why Newquay?

1. A Creative Playground by the Sea

Newquay isn’t just surf, sand, and salty hair (though we won’t lie—that’s a pretty dreamy bonus!). Over the last two decades, it’s shaken off its 'Stag and Hen capital' past and evolved into a thriving hub of creativity, brimming with independent makers, artists, and vibrant pop-up markets that bring the streets to life every summer.

But Newquay hasn’t lost its adventurous spirit—it’s a place where music, food, and good times are always on the agenda. Whether it’s sunrise disco yoga on Fistral Beach or golden-hour party sessions at Lusty Glaze, there’s always something to feed the soul. And for those of us who live for the festival buzz, gems like Tropical Pressure and The Great Estate are right on our doorstep.

Ever since our founder, Robyn, left Newquay for Bristol to study fashion, the ocean has been calling her home. That deep connection to the sea is one of the reasons sustainability has always been at the heart of Burnt Soul. Now, with our move back to the coast, our commitment to protecting the planet is stronger than ever. As long-time supporters of Surfers Against Sewage, based just along the coast in St. Agnes, we’re proud to be part of a community of ocean lovers fighting to keep our waters wild and our shores clean

3. A Slower, More Sustainable Way of Living and Working

Fast fashion? No thanks. Fast-paced, stress-fuelled city life? Also, no thanks! Moving to Cornwall has allowed us to slow down, reconnect with our values, and focus on what truly matters—creating high-quality, eye-catching pieces that are made consciously to make you feel UNSTOPPABLE!

Our move to Newquay isn’t just about a change of scenery—it’s about evolution. With more space to dream, design, and push creative boundaries, Burnt Soul is stepping into a new era of funwear. Being by the sea, surrounded by adventure and a thriving creative community, has us looking at things differently. What does the future hold? Visiting Newquay… Can You Pop Into the Studio?

For a more casual visit, we’re throwing open the doors on the first Saturday of every month from May to September, 10am–4pm. Come say hi, browse, and see where the magic happens!
